oceans are drowning

oceans are drowning
i'm homeless tomorrow
my father has parted with this world
my sole link has gone
i named my ship after what you had born
and now it's adrift
there is no turning back for me;
my family threaded apart
and no knowledge of how
to keep friendships together
not everyone can
keep a family whole
some people lose lose and lose
threads falling off of their lives
out of the holes
and into the waters
of oceans drowning by gravity
every moment
i walk down the street
people are pulling me
out by my fibers
until i'm not left
and i have left
a part of me's gone
sailing along josefinka
into neverland
as the oceans evaporate
feet from my stern
worlds losing fading
with every moment
i'm painting in colors and words
racing psychology
a rushed evolution
on to a nevergoal
to something more stable
the land we destroyed
blind and unknowing
while the sun beat steadily
