Faded love
You carved your image into my mind
Loving words, tight embraces
Had me calling out your name at night
You tended to me daily
Pruned my love
But you let me slip away slowly
Like a child I miss you
You let your ripe words fade
Into neglectful horizons
I thought I could predict
The soft steady tones of your voice...
Thought I could keep picking out
Your thorns quick enough
Should have seen your distrust
Growing deeper,
further away from my view
I thought you would keep giving me
The ripe fruit of love
But season sees no reason for holding onto old experiences
Thought I could predict your reasons for dissassociating yourself.
