We want to be a U.S Marine
You will make us one.
We want strength and power
You will give us some.
You will teach us how to breathe
You will teach us how to stand
We will be alike
We carry the the same brand.
We want to be a U.S Marine
You will make us one.
We will make up own minds
As you scream at our soul
We cease to make a sound
We will do as we`re told.
We want to be a U.S Marine

Tell us to Jump
We ask how high.
You will be proud
As you steal our pride.
We want to be a U.S Marine

Wherever you shall go.
We will be your friend
While challenging your foe.
From the curve of the moon
To the light of the sun

am half convinced that your not a marine by the texture of the writing. such a tactfully redundant use of repetition can only come from an observer of our military. no jar head would question a commander with sarcastic brown-nosing...

You are correct, I am an observer but Iv written many poem about marines and our armed services.
