Chrysanthemum 💐
…...used to simply be
a Generation X, spelling bee word for me
until one day in all it's splendor
I saw it's flowers blooming
early September
wondering in my mind
how they seemed to bloom so late
from there grew a fondness
their tender beauty served to
elate and even elevate my mind
until ….......
I found you
all the things in that flower
I saw in you
delicately smooth edges
inflorescence, reflecting light
a very light, captivating fragrance
an alluring beauty
and strength, going the distance
fighting the good fight for life
your essence, simple
your complexity, compelling
my desire to hold you in my arms
to wrap myself in your sensuality
the attraction deep and all telling.....
….everything I've ever wanted
and so much more
to delicately kiss and fondle
each petal as I have never, ever
done before, woman.....
I am seduced
into sweet surrender,
my beautiful, alluring Chrysanthemum.
