A Twist Of A Vampire’s Fate XX

Silent Tears of A Fairy

THE AUTHORITY FEDERATION
Budapest, Hungary
Mr. Salice Orsolya’s Office

Dracon looked down at his left finger. He had to get used to walking out in sunlight without his Daylight Amulet Ring.

Salice placed the telephone receiver back on the cradle.
His intercom buzzed. He pressed it in.

“Yes.”
“Mr. Orsolya, there is a Mr. Constantine out here to speak with you.”

Salice released the intercom.

“Shit!”

He knew Vacome’s bullshit will blow up in his face. It has taken the Authority Federation centuries to bring peace among the three clans. If the Lasombra Clan even hears of a pending war, knowing it’s in regards to a woman. All hell will break loose.

Salice pressed back in the intercom.

“Mrs. Piroska, you may send Mr. Constantine in.”
“Yes sir.”

Salice let the intercom button go and stood. He straightened his tie.

There was a knock at the door.

“Come in.”

Mrs. Piroska opened the door to Salice’s office, and then stepped aside.

Dracon walked into Salice’s office.

Mrs. Piroska looked from Dracon, and then over at Salice. She pulled the door close.

“Please Mr. Constantine, have a seat.”
“I’m fine standing, and I will make this visit very short and to the point. Either you tame Vacome, and his brothers invading my territory, or there will be hell to pay.”

Salice’s fang descended.
Dracon’s fangs descended.

“How dare you enter my office, the head of this organization and demand shit!”

Dracon’s presence flashed across the room. He stood inches from Salice.

“I do not give a fuck how many centuries you and the Tremere Clan go back. We have a problem and if you do not handle it, then I will handle the problem my own way. Vampire against vampire, I could care less of the repercussions.”

Salice’s fangs ascended.
Dracon’s fangs retracted.

Salice stepped back.

“Please have a seat.”

Dracon looked at Salice. He backed up and walked around Salice’s desk. He took a seat across from him.

Salice sat back down in his leather wingback chair. He sat up and rested his folded hands on his desk; he then leaned forward.

“What is so special about this particular woman who has you and Vacome at odds over?”

“The woman was once married to me centuries ago.”
“Well, if that fact rings true. She was also in love with someone from the Tremere Clan, after she was claimed from the Lasombra Clan.”
“I do not have time for the semantics. I am here to find a solution.”

Salice unfolded his hands and sat back in his chair. He palmed his cheeks down. He sat back up.

“Mr. Constantine tell me now. What is your stake in this? Do you plan to turn this woman in this century?”
“That’s my business what becomes of Naynina and me, however, for any chance of that to occur. I need those three fucks from outwitting my every move. I forgave that debacle in the forest, which I am sure you are well aware of, but no more. Therefore, you may deliver a message on my behalf. If Vacome as so looks my way. As a superior vampire by rite of passage, I will enslave his ass, and then claim his weaken clan.”

Salice cleared his throat behind Dracon’s threat, because he knew he was capable of it, and if pushed, he would do just as he stated.

“I will speak with Vacome.”

Salice sniffed the air. He smelled Fairy’s Blood. He looked over at Dracon. He was hoping the woman he and Vacome was dueling over does not have Fairy Blood running through her veins. A golden opportunity if placed in the right clan’s hands. If so, then this shit was about to hit the fan before any possibility of it remotely getting better.

“I think I’ve said my peace.”

Dracon stood.

Salice stood. He extended his hand.

Dracon looked down at it.

Salice dropped his hand. He sniffed the air once again for confirmation of Fairy’s Blood.

In this day and age? Maybe the Authority Federation could use this woman’s assistance, certainly her blood, if not anything else he thought.

Dracon walked to the door.

“You make sure you keep Naynina close. I’m sure there will be others trying to steal her affection.”

Mainly her blood Salice thought.

“I would wish you a nice day, but it’s not going to happen.”

Dracon reached down for the doorknob, opened the door, and then walked out Salice’s office.

Mrs. Piroska appeared at the door. She pulled it close.

Salice reached over and lifted the telephone receiver from out the cradle. He quickly pressed in telephone number and placed the receiver up to his ear.

DRACON’S CASTLE
Sighisoara, Romania
Later That Afternoon

Naynina pulled the rental around the circular driveway. She rested the engine and then withdrew the key. She looked over at Mimi, who remained silent the entire ride.

“Are you all right Mimi?”

Mimi looked over at Naynina.

“I do not want to talk about it.” Mimi crossed her arms over her chest.
“You just have to have all the men flocking over you.”

“Pardon me.”

“That hot number, who you decided to leave behind in the restaurant, took me to a hotel, but for some unknown reason, he must have landed in your bed. For the entire ride, I smelled his cologne all over you.”

“Is this what this silent treatment is about, and all this time, I thought you were feeling the effects of being sick.”

“Girl please, that was a ruse; three was definitely a crowd. And once Sebestyn called me, I already knew you most have shut those legs of yours for the night. So what did you promise him for him to vacate my bed, and end up in a virgin’s bed, and I could only assume, for the entire night.”

“What are you talking about? I left the restaurant alone, and I woke up, alone.”

No she remembered she laid with Dracon. Wait, did she make love to Sebestyn? Maybe his name was Vacome, she was confused, and her mind was in state of fog in remembering anything.

Naynina looked back over at Mimi.

You are a…”
“A cold bitch, something I could admit too, it’s bad when you are one, and not honest enough to admit it, and you owe me fifty dollars for having to pay a damage fee to the hotel. That fuck who left me for you, somehow cracked the tile in the bathroom, and they charged it to my credit card.”
“I would not hold my breath waiting for that fifty dollars; call it even for the clothes and the shoes I bought you. I see why you do not have any true friends.”
“Fuck you, ask your dear Levi who has been his friend.”

Mimi’s eyes enlarged after the words left her mouth.

“Pardon me.”

Mimi turned to reach for the door handle.
Naynina palmed Mimi’s shoulder.

“What did you just say?”

Mimi did not issue a reply.

“You will turn around, sit back, and tell me what the fuck you are talking about!”

Mimi instantly turned around. Her back hit the leather seat.

“Kiss my ass, bitch!”

Mimi tried to sit up. She could not move.

“Let me go, you freak.”
“You will speak when spoken too.”

Mimi opened her mouth to speak, no words followed.

“What did you mean about Levi, and dammit, I want the truth!”
“Levi and I have been seeing each other.”
“For how long.”
“A little over a year.”

Naynina’s heart dropped. She turned away and looked out the driver side window. Her sandcastles came crashing down. She turned back around to face Mimi.

“You may go, and you will not remember anything about this conversation, go dammit, now!”

Tears slid down Naynina’s cheeks.

Mimi sat up. She looked over at Naynina, while she fumbled to reach the door handle. She grasped it in her hand and opened the door. She clumsily exited the vehicle. Mimi pushed the door close and ran to the front door.

Mordecai opened the door as Mimi stepped in front of the threshold.
Mimi entered Dracon’s residence.

Mordecai cranked his head to looked over at Naynina, who remained rooted in the vehicle.

Naynina caught Mordecai’s eye. She shook her head.
Mordecai slowly closed the door.

Naynina rested her head in the clutch of the headrest. She sat up, plugged the key inside the ignition, and then twisted it. She had to get away; she pulled off.
