Polluted Past

Some histories can often mar
this chronicle, my memoir
woefully playing star
a past not so far
nor up to par
leaves a scar
branded
marked
stranded
ever more
aged premature
shame I cannot cure
of this I will assure
a woman now insecure
my innocence no longer pure
