Ripples

Time ripples and life distorts
my reflection moving mechanically  
walking away from all that matters
further into the distance as into the glass I helplessly stare
self hypnotized, I stand paralyzed
 
apathetic and unsure
 
something within stirs and burns
overwhelms, pushes against all that I am
envelopes my lethargy
rattles me to remember
all that life is meant to be
 
so I leave my quill here for now as I step back in...
