Letter unsent, message unsaid

Lying still in my coffin,
With a letter on my chest.
A letter I never sent.
With a message unshared.
From a poets voice unheard.
Now I lay here dead.

I wish I could turn time back.
Maybe I would have done one or two things different.
Do you think forgiveness is something I'll ever learn?
When the wounds refuse to mend.
How do I think I'll ever forget?
About how I wasn't spared,
From the cruelty of this world.
My selfishness is something you can never comprehend.
My reason why I never spread the message,
Is something you'll never get.
As unless you've also experienced it first hand.
You too would have kept it to yourself till the end.

From the cradle to the sand.
I was born in a lions den.
With the smell of fresh blood around my neck,
And a message on the other hand.
In a world too dark and too upset.
Could I have survived?,
Would I have been heard?
Yes, I'm going back.
With my head hung in regrets.
Deep inside I know I had a chance.
Yet It wasn't easy as it seems,
I'm dying with my dreams.
A diary of a Deadman you can never read.
