Drifting Black

 Watch me dance
 in dead girl's shoes
my heart lies torn and dirty
 in cold moon light
 there's nothing more
there's nothing more to hurt me

Dark rivers
cut through stars
tell stories while I stumble
past shadows how I fell
so far so foolishly
drifting back
drifting black
longing for your
precious agonies
drifting back, drifting black

Feed me seconds
of your breath
beating moments
until death can't save me
I have lain before
where torment rules
made my bed
of hopeless dreams
with precious agonies
wrapped up and tied by
your precious agonies

No saving shore
or exit clues
yield bitterest perfection
unspoken loss
there are no ships
to sail away my frailest
false intention
The curtain's drawn
on dawn's pale light
and black becomes my mirror
I see the game's
afoot again
and I must play alone
although I know my soul's
compelled to bleed your
precious agonies

Drifting back, drifting black
drifting back towards these
precious agonies
