I Won't Back Down
Despite the hate, despite the lies
The perpetrators still deny
Despite all the personal threats
"Don't Mess Me!" they're very best
Despite their caring, forgiving disguise
The mask is slipping, I see the whites of their eyes
Despite a deliberate character assassination
Pointing and laughing at multiple amputations
Despite an encouragement to commit suicide
"Just Do It!" - I won't, I will no longer hide
Despite veiled insults and the recruiting of haters
To watch a broken man falter, they're all fuckin waiters
accused as Nigel, Narcissist, Schitzophrenic, Cripple
Despite accusations of an Alcoholic to fond of his tipple
Despite false accusation to get me demoted
The cabal agrees, they've all just voted
A malign, so benign as a victim of the crime
I will stand up now and deal with the slime
My armour solid, my Claymore like a razor
I aim my strikes like I'm guided by a laser
The cabal will lose itself in the lost and found
My oath and determination "I Won't Back Down!"

Inspired by anger and rage created by others
I stand with the victims my sisters an brothers

Too many good are now gone because nobody would stand with them. People will be people & we all have our flaws. But as Melia said above, bright can come from darkness. You lit the torch...now let's watch it spread!

Either way, anger emerges when one's boundaries are overstepped - and is a good energy to re-establish them.

He shoots he scores,................ I had that song ringing in my ears while I wrote this - the Tom Petty version had it playing throughout the write. this half the inspiration for the poem the other was my constructive rage being channelled at injustice and my fight back encouraged by Jordan Pettersen. I was lost for such a long while, but I am getting my Mojo back. I had a career of 19 years fighting for the downtrodden and the weak, it is time. History will repeat itself
