[ SK ] Coffey's Prayer

Boss, ain't easy to explain

It lingers in the air without refrain;
this skull plumb full of shrapnel---
insects with dull razor blade wings
and stingers of slivered glass
incessantly burrowing into my brain

If only I had faith this shall pass

But I's tired, Boss

Never was that strong
And the world's haywired
---gone all kinds of wrong
There's way too much love
exploited for personal gain
I can't take enough of it back

There's a limit to what I can do

Even when you're in the rain---
the pain never ends

Boss, I'd kindly appreciate you
hooking me up with a few friends
who could help me out
