Gentle Earth Woman
We burrow
in the quietness of Earth,
knowing some people dream of death for the freedom
we have here.
Water splashes over stones,
squirrel dances on the posts,
sparrows chirp a vagrant's song,
egret flies overhead.
Life occurs, bumbles forwards, the noisiest of days done.
Joy has birthed and is thriving curiously
where all are welcome to baptise in the true holy water
boundless Nature has bestowed.
She the Idol, first and longest love, God, Queen, Mother -
We will make juice from your boundless, well rooted fruit.
We will share our prized goblet amongst the many.
Don't slaughter, for too possessive a gain, the gifts of life but enjoy the treasure of your time with it gently.
