what's it like to be a man

pick up the check and never ask for sex
a woman doesn't owe you that
mow the lawn and take out the trash
that's the whole point of being a man

boys don't cry
they don't wear pink
they must fight for our country

men don't show fear
and shouldn't be afraid
that's what makes a man so great

work all day and work all night
come home and barely sleep through the night
you've been taught toxic masculinity
you don't even know what it means
to be comfortable with your sexuality

it takes so little to be called gay
it's offensive to be called such a name
a man is meant to never be afraid
again woman don't get to feel this way

buy her expensive jewelry
take her out on dates
buy her a house
while never admitting your in pain
but why don't women ever bring up these things?

the me too movement
is meant to tell men how it's not okay for a woman to be raped
but society doesn't speak on how the men is also raped
but because it's by a woman, that makes it okay
do they realize double standard is a thing?

woman don't like it to be seen as a sexual object
but men don't like to be seen as a sugar daddy
but that's not a thing because women are the only ones
who get treated poorly

not all men are assholes
not all men rape
but how come we don't talk about
how a man gets treated "so great"
i understand that women get treated like shit
but take a second to realize that women treat men just as bad
as men treat women

now men can't compete with childbirth
but how is it that who carries the child
determines who has more custody over it?

how come no one talks about how to teach their sons not to
have toxic masculinity
maybe that could teach them how to properly treat women
we don't talk about how women can rape men
how men are also apart of the me too movement
how some women lure innocent children to dangerous men
but since they didn't rape them, they didn't do anything?

oh yes men can be feminists too
but you would look at me and say
"oh he's just like all the other dudes"
toxic men teach young girls that all they are is sexual objects
and toxic women teach young boys to never cry, pay for everything and how they have more rights,

don't you dare say im wrong because
