I am Liam

I grew up irish hated by all
Half breed bastard among names they would call
My father american of a cheyenne tribe
My mother true irish of druedic scribe

Irish hated me for not being their own
All others hated me for the irish within
Beaten by grandmother for the fruit my father had sewn
Distained beating treated as the devils kin

Years i took this abuse til suddenly i was alone
Arrested for being who i was an nowhere to call home
Fight day in and out while incarcerated all ive known
Forced into military now the goverment owns

Slave to the hate slave to the man
Strangely enough i found my soul in a foreign land
She was latin with dark nubian skin
As we talked we learned we shared many burdens of sin

She clang to me daily wouldnt let me stray
I fell more in love each passing day
Then again they pull me away spending time back in the sand
Bullets explosion told never again i would stand

They ship me back to my land of hell
Been months but i still choke on the smell of my burning flesh
The pain is unbearable but my mind constanly wonders of another
To my surprise she walks in i see a mother

Now im told im a father of two
So i grit my teeth and push my way through
My heart just walked in now you know my heart belongs to you
Forced myself to walk again for yall nothing i wont overcome or do

To some i was a monster born to die
You showed me how to see the world through loving eyes
Then you blessed by joining eternally in the knott tie
Since you my girls and child to come i now only mark happy cries

So if you ever ask is my love true
Ever wonder if your beauty is fading in you
Know ill forever love the angel you are
No other could heal my internal scar

Ever wonder if you can see um
Out exposed to the world I am Liam
