How will I explain?
How will I explain
the lure of intimate strangers
that make me leave my tasks undone
The world will not understand
How will I explain
the wilderness inside my head
where I adventure for hours on end
The world has never known it
How will I explain
this hunger for words and perception
that mutes all responsibilities
The world will not approve
How will I explain
when night falls without tangible achievement
“But at least I really felt poetry today…”
How will I ever explain?
