Blind Rambling
I'm tethered to a dream
the night waits for me
everything fantastically scary
everything I've ever seen
comes back and it's a bit haunting
but I need it to feel real in days of
fakeness and chameleons that
clone things in real time
while the past is visting me.
What is it I actually see, besides
empty old houses and empty people
watching me while I watch them
it's a staring contest with death
no one wins but everyone plays
I like these dreams they ground me
to the misery, I am not the only one,
in this place many are lost and
unquestioning, believing they just are instead of wondering why.
