For Better and Worse
it's hard to find a friend
someone who will fight by your side
thanks to you I have one for life
no words can express how much this means
I been bending backwards till I break
hopeless feelings build and build
then there is you
seeing that I need a pick me up
doing silly things to force me to smile
thank you for understanding
couldn't imagine how lonely life would be
if I couldn't see your face
or feel your kisses
it makes the hardships not so bad
the struggles worth every scar
it's even more special seeing as it's not easy
not easy dealing with the mess that is me
most people would have left for better
but you stay to heal my soul
never could I repay such kindness
though I do thank you till my last breath
for holding my hand as I ache
it makes me think of our history
like the time we first met
my goal is to give you that gift again
that sense of endless possibilities
once I get back to 100%
I promise that's where we'll be
