My Only One

"(VERSE 1)
You are standing there so pretty,
makes me wish I was by you.
But the wall that is between us,
it will never let me through.

Our love will never be.
Our children won't be born.
Never will they give us flowers
on our anniversary.

You are my only one,
lightened by the rising sun.
You're my only wishing star.
You‘re so close, and yet, so far.

You are my only one.
Stars are falling one by one.
Ships are leaving out to sea.
You and I will never be.

Someday, there will be wedding,
and you're going to play for keeps.
I will not be there beside you,
to hold your hand and kiss your lips.

I will never feel your voice,
playing gently with my ears.
And instead of your sweet smile,
I will see my lonely tears.
