ADDICTED
The scars that you gifted me are starting to fade
But I still see your face even at the grave
The opium for the grim phobias within
Feeding my haunted closet full of skeletons
how can you not remember me
after all our tarnished memories?
now i have nothing left to give
addicted to the agony
HOW CAN THIS BE THE LAST TIME?
YOU KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE
Now I am changing my mask
I go from blue to black
Just to hide away the bruise
I am losing my grip
And am starting to slip
An addict of reality
Of all the agony
And I just don’t know
WHAT TO DO WITHOUT YOU
Madness in the darkness compelling me now
Precariously walking the ledge somehow
The laudanum for the bleak autumn of war
As I sadly promise to love you nevermore
how can i ever forget you
after all of our late night rendezvous?
now i have nothing left to give
addicted to the agony
