Regina

Regina, quiet and alluring,
Still made sport of my efforts
My attempts to entice her
These, she made a struggle
With a tease, reflecting class
On a campus of divided dreams

She became my first love
Silent in the elevator
Raising my hopes, and virginal fears
Her acquiescence gentle
Instructive to a novice
Patient, tender and true

But I became a lout
Sexually voracious, but still inept
Drugs a factor in my failures
She rightly dismissed me
And I was left to fractured studies
Books loaded in my arms
With a lesson hardly learned.
