THE PROMISE OF FAILURE
I touch your cold coma hand
And remember all the should haves
The promise of failure
Gave birth to all the never dids
I was dying to live way too fast
Among the phantasms of the past
Fingers reach from our death bed
Wasted away so skeletal
Pleading with whispered screams
A song that I never did hear
I promised to never hurt you
But pain was all I had left to give
I am the Hyde in the monster
That fucks away the numb
Chasing away jagged pills
With Absinthe and bad decisions
Failure of promises
To take you to the end again
You were living to die way too fast
Among the victims of your past
I vowed that I would save you
When I could never survive myself
Verses haunting the dead
To pacify demons within
We crawl along the creaking floorboards
To live upon the edge of serrated sword
I never knew that I could live with myself
The night is afire with glorious dead
It hurts when we love the lost ahead
So we fuck the pain away to Hell
I promised to never hurt you
But pain was all I had left to give

People have to relieve stress in some different ways although I think this implies taking relief to act torture. I guess you can count on me to make anything horrible? Lol. Thank you for the kindness you show this lowly wretch, dear Dev.
