write 'poetry' like no one is reading.

expression - is art by nature not by some metrics and criteria.. if done with brutal purity.  

judgements are for the insecure or the curious Sis! expressions have the right to exist... palatable or not is for individual taste and ARt is never chaste!

Sin i believe in most of the cases considered when harm is inflicted unnecessarily and intentionally ... i doubt an expression of raw emotion/feeling/opinion would be a sin! for those are part of our journey aren't they? of discovery and beyond...truth and all?

write poetry..no one is reading(better than you)! :-)

I've written things I'm not proud of, that spring up from an unseen place within myself. I don't delete them though. I keep them to remind myself of my humanity & failings, to hold up to my mind's eye as a reflection of what I have yet to work on. I think it's human nature to fail & to speak without comprehension. But we're also inquisitive creatures by nature. If we use that inquisitiveness for good...to learn & strive to better ourselves...without thought to bring anyone else down...then it's a gift. Humans as a whole are too quick to judge what they don't truly comprehend...what is different, foreign to them & their views of the world. We need to be able to see through others' eyes. Until we can do that...we will continue to have to witness these judgments & opinions take a toll. A thought provoking read. I apologize for the ramble here...   ~Willow~

First I will thank each of you, and any others that have done likewise, for reading this piece, and a second thank you for taking time to leave your comment.

This write came as a result of rereading a piece I'd written several months ago which received a number of comments in agreement with the subject matter. I pulled the piece a few days later after cooling down, though my feeling on the subject hadn't changed, only realizing it is not my right to judge how others conduct their business. Like Ash, but have kept it, as a reminder of my shortcomings.

Like C-f, I lean toward opinions not being judgments until they are voiced negatively with malice.

Still I wonder where to draw a line between where an opinion or judgment becomes a sin, either by calling it out or keeping silent, and this is what I was attempting to confer with this poem.

I feel you both have stated valid thoughts on this matter, and again thank you for doing so.

What I love about this piece is it has several elements to me. There is a bit of good natured humor, there is the depth of it's message, which is quite relevant. It has a personal, social, philosophical message that makes me consider it in each of those ways. I enjoy the candor with which you write.
