Before, my bed was alive
Sheets dancing and spinning wrapping us tight together
pillow talk sensual and inviting

Before, the darkness of the night was illuminated with our words
They glowed like a Roman Candle sparks flying from our fingers
Words caressing and arousing.

Before, I didn’t want to sleep. Sleep meant being without you.

Now, my bed is still
I wrap the blankets close just to keep out the chill.
My pillow is silent, a place only for my dreams.

Now, when my phone lights up with your name
I slowly smile, it’s been a while.
