The alleged crime, now confessed
apologized for, begrudgingly forgiven
in dual courts of public opinion and private blogs
You are free to go, you are declared irrelevant
Gather your trampled reputation and leave
It is impossible to erase the indelible stain
seemingly forever attached to your name

Author's Note
The fifth and final poem (for now) regarding the current cultural phenomenon to 'cancel' a public figure of perceived or actual misdeeds.

I am enjoying this series, silence.
I would suggest 'purported' in place of 'supposed' crime. It was one of the first words I learned in law school from a professor, with instructions to use it when in doubt. The terminology appears more legal that 'supposed'. Also, while capping each line is certainly an acceptable classic form, it would read much smoother if you capped only the beginning of sentences. A space or two wouldn't hurt either. In this one particularly, between L3 - 4. This allows the reader to breath in the ideas separately and creates a more relaxing read.

I tried the word purported, and it wasn't going, somehow. Alleged clicked the line into place, and you were absolutely correct about the need for it to be changed.
My capitalization and line spacing.. you are so incredibly spot on! This is something I go back and forth with in almost everything I write, especially the capitalization. I fall back on classic techniques because it is what is natural to me, so it is a habit I have to consciously break.
Every time I see a comment of yours, I learn something new. For that, I am forever grateful.
