Clockwork Prisoner

I once told you the northern tales,
Where we gathered round,
& the embers in bonfire flew away.
I told you a dream from a distant day,
A dream I no longer remember,
A story no one talks of anymore.
I hold you close to me.

You faintly sang the song of
Bright green sadness,
A place where nothing would end,
& a choir of sighs embraced us.
As I sat in the corner of my mind,
Only your essence I could hear.
In silence broke a new dawn,
& happiness started in the light.
I fell in love with you.

Every pulse I missed,
Swayed my heart even deeper,
& a serenity was unchained.
And the ocean cried evermore,
The death of a thousand angels.
And the ocean cried evermore,
The burning of a thousand moment.
As I whispered in the black veil of night,
Won't you be my friend?
