Salute Them

Salute Them

Stand up and salute the men and women in uniform
The ones who work in the hardest conditions
The ones who sacrifice there lives so we can be free
Salute Them

Salute Him

Salute the man who wheels himself down the hall
Dog tags jingling upon his neck as he rolls on by
The man who lost his legs while serving in Iraq
Salute him

Salute Her

Salute the mother of a fallen solider as she crys out
While she clings to that folded up flag and her granddaughters hand
As she watches them bury her only son hoping God will bless him
Salute her

Salute Them

Salute them the two World War ll veterans in the coffeeshop
As they tell stories of losing their Best Firends in a place called Vietnam
As they talk about the way they got treated when they got home
Salute them because they defended our country

Salute All

Salute All Men and Women in the Military
Salute the mother who leaves her kids and husband back at home
Salute the man who has nobody to come home too
Salute the one who suffers from PTSD
Salute those ones who watched their commanding officer die

Stand up and Salute because freedom isn't free
