ARE YOU A POET ?
Poet, you encourage war .
I wonder how you can do !
Do you know that your pen pours
gasoline on burning coal .
How can you send your sons there
to throw themselves in that fire ?
Why don't you go there yourself ?
Is that hell hot to endure ?
Poet, how can you admire
fire that consumes the flesh ?
Fire is made to feed sons
not to throw them out of reach.
Embers that your sons can't hold
burn their hands while yours are cool .
You behold the woes they feel
to uplift your selfish mood.

The author encourages honest critique.
Nothing in the text deals with (or answers) the question you ask in your title. In fact, the assumption within the text is that who ever it is you are speaking to **is** a poet, albeit one who writes in order to send his sons to war.
And unless you wanted to ask whether hell was eager to endure something, your 8th line should read "Is that hell too hot for you to endure"?

Thank you very much for your observations. Indeed, you are very generous to write so much to me. I like those who criticize me more than who praise me because they can be very useful to me. Poets should tell the truth. The person who sends his son to danger can't be a poet. He should go himself, and not send his son.
If l write my sentence in the way you advice, it will no suit the rhythm. I am interested in both. JZ

"Advise", not "advice".
And are you saying that maintaining a certain meter is more important than making sense and communicating effectively?
Further, why did you not speak to my claim that nothing ***in your text*** deals with (or answers) the question you ask in your title?
I wonder, too, if you realize that by your lights, we must deny that Horace was a poet.
