It doesn’t matter what language I speak
It doesn’t matter what language I speak;
They all sound the same.
We make plans that happen or not;
Either way is the same.
Day to night so many days,
Move silently from place to place,
Speak my words and play my part;
It doesn’t move my heart.
One note, one state, one word repeated,
Fantasy to circumstance
But always rings inside.
My heart pulses every beat with this reality,
Nonexistent in the light.
So help me help me
Leave this place I’ve been so long,
Held by my invisible friend
As we sing a song
That sounds like silence when I try to sing it out loud.
