Harm.

Watch the blood form in to little lumps,

Feel your heart as more of it pumps,

It goes from one to three to four,

You can’t stop, just one more?

It starts to sting but the burning comes first,

Little do they know that’s what drives the thirst,

For the first time in forever you feel at ease,

Your mind falls silent, a moment of peace,

The blood drops and trickles down your skin,

A feeling of relief escapes from within,

The scars have sunk deep in to your thigh,

They’re hidden away from the prying eye,

But the thoughts start again as you get in to bed,

It appears we’re in for a long night ahead,

Is this life now? A never ending cycle of pain.

Please tell me some day I’ll be happy again.

Author's Note
I have loved reading other people’s personal poetry. I am happy to say this is no longer an issue of mine but I believe it can be good for others to have an insight to something that is so hard to understand or imagine. I am always happy to receive any sorts of comments no matter now small or unimportant they may seem!
