Nightmares.

There could not possibly be a place worse than this one
Hiding in the damp underside of bed, waiting for horizon
I thought she said she would take me with her
But when I approached, she stopped me with a finger

No words escaped, she just shook her head
Then started peer into mind with no words said
Showed me a world of fire where there was nothing
The truth was, I'd stay there infinitely suffering
Where no hope, love, or any light would be seen
Stuck in the inevitable suction of in between

'Come with me'

She said smiling at me on my knees

'Leave your weakness behind like theyre diseased'

One by one, she pealed them deftly away
Strapped me to cold metal in eternal decay

On the floor was a heap of pathetic whimpering
And the more skin she took, she left a cold body
Unfeeling, existing purely on the notion of being
Blinking up, it looked to it's mother for something

Horrified, I saw the monster wore my face
Screaming, I had been fooled to enter this place

Watching
As they burned the earthly realm with their hate
I am them and they are me, only need left to satiate

To the surface, finally to breathe some fresh air
Teeth bared, she said
'You aren't going to find comfort anywhere'

Fading, she slunk back into the darkness to wait
Said she'd come and surprise me with the next date.
