The Revival Saga Part VI: Pain & Repetition
Tell me where are we going with our lives?
‘cause I’m tired of guessing for myself.
Each day I try to ride it out with you, but it seems you make it much rougher and harder for me to bare. My heart is telling me to stay, but my head is telling me to go instead and I’m so done with showing you how to love me when you should already know instinctively, you should be in tune with me meanwhile you’re not even on the same note as me let alone the same song as me.
Can’t you see I love you but I need a real love, a mature love, a better love, the type of love that I can see myself never second guessing myself with or seeing never ending or never wanting to leave because it’s that good; I want the type of love that’s equal where we both cook and clean meanwhile we’re both working and paying the bills and taking care of the kids and you come home from a hard day’s work and I jump into your arms and make sweet love to you all night long.
I want a love that I can depend on, I want a love love that I know will last so tell me will that be you? Because I’m looking for someone I can give my all but if that isn’t you then honestly I don’t know what else I could do without you.
Because my heart is aching and it’s breaking so much for you, but don’t mistake my kindness for weakness because I’m not the one to play with, you burn me I’ll just resurrect back from the ashes and take back what’s owed to me ‘cause you won’t make me out as the fool, but in the end you’ll look like a clown but I guess this is the ending of the tragedy of love and deception there’s pain and repetition.

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted but due to a lot of conflict going on at my job and going through a breakup I had to take time away from poetry and find myself. So I’m back will finish off this series with one more chapter stay tuned till then check out the last of the series ~ Ms Jackson

What a remarkable contribution to mark your return. I always encourage my fellow posts to expose their thoughts and souls. In this time of hypocrites who spin truths into lies we poets have a duty to express even the most painful truths. Your courageous write is a perfect example of what poetry should try to achieve.

Thanks Snucklebuck it’s great to be back and well I took sometime away from DUP ‘cause of work since I had to focus on some bullshit that’s been going on that let’s just say is making me want to quit and go somewhere else for work as for my relationship drama I’ve tried over and over to make it work with this man that I loved for a longtime and have known since kindergarten and well it clearly isn’t going anywhere so despite us being best friends it’s just not working out but I’ll be ok though. And you’re right as poets we do have a duty to express how we feel to the world and not sugar coat it nor lie about it like most do and which is why it’s so underrated being a poet.
