MABELITA ON THE BEACH

That picture of you, on the beach, out laid,
gives you aura of a happy mermaid.
Soothing to the mind, pleasing to the eye,
would tempt me, on this beach, to by you lie -
not to get rampant, to bump and to grind
but, with words, make love to your Latin mind,

Upon your beach blanket we share its space,
as, sun glassed, we talk relaxed face to face,
I absorbing the ease that you convey
that you said you find at your special bay,
while not caring about people who pass
us by as sun's rays tan cheeks of the ass.

Relaxing under the Pacific sun,
getting to know each other, one to one,
you teaching me some Latino phrases,
while you decipher my English praises.
Like book ends we would be complementing,
you in bikini, me in my man string.

Author's Note
Inspired by somewhat relaxing Facebook cover photo of a Peruvian FB friend (sister of a former neighbour in England), lying prone on a beach near her home. This poem grew from a rhyming comment I wrote.
