Mr. Bojangles

Retire your heartbeats, take a bow and remove your magician hat
Allow it to blow away in the wind, when worn its beautiful comfort, lacks
The curtains are drawn, no encore, no comeback
Bowing unto grace, no King’s presence, empty throne you chose to have sat

Eluded footsteps trapped you in the sands of time
Markings of the beast coveting earthy designs
No spirituality found as your soul bathes in its tainted wine

I hear the echoes heard softly in the wind
I have bowed, ran, my heart has been on a serene mend
Love at a standstill, once given to an arresting heart
A masterpiece with all the right pieces, no inquisitiveness of guessing from the start
Strong arms await my tender touches, my moans, my Chi, in the cloak of dark

The world revolves on its axis so fast
The Tortoise and the Hare racing of hearts entwined behind lucid masks
My heart bestowed unto a gifted man have been covet to outlast
Tender kisses, emotional desires, keeps my heart on such a beautiful celestial blast
Close your eyes, what shall be, is slowly fading into the past

The stars once bowed at the rainfall of my feet
Hushed whispers, twisted lingo, mentally guarded when minds did meet
The sweet baton of life I pass on
A ribbon in the sky has played our last song
She may sing seductive melodies, yes, without your microphone ever being turned on

Blinders worn, in a game of thorns, as two hearts quietly mourn
A soul who wishes well, your journey through life
Your heart aches, your mind cannot fathom the bridge not lessening, for self-demise strife
Mind clear, knowing you would never wife
Such wasted vested time, habits of the moon knows the galaxy telltale signs
Retire your heartbeats, take a bow, and remove your hat, united hearts are now unbind
