I've dreamed
I have searched for love in tear kissed dreams
Imprisoned in a world of summerless winters
But never surrendering the dream
Bare limbed trees became my rungs of hope
Each cold branch pushing my desire for a glimpse of my spring
I've been blown hard by the wind,
Sometimes even slung from my tree
I've been used and unloved and very misunderstood
But I refused to give up my dream
It's funny how springtime didn't bring hope to me as I thought it would
But it was standing amidst falling snow
that your eyes danced for me
I saw spring bloom on a cold winter day.
I felt a dream come to life.
I felt me come to life.
YOU are my SPRING.
Imprisoned in a world of summerless winters
But never surrendering the dream
Bare limbed trees became my rungs of hope
Each cold branch pushing my desire for a glimpse of my spring
I've been blown hard by the wind,
Sometimes even slung from my tree
I've been used and unloved and very misunderstood
But I refused to give up my dream
It's funny how springtime didn't bring hope to me as I thought it would
But it was standing amidst falling snow
that your eyes danced for me
I saw spring bloom on a cold winter day.
I felt a dream come to life.
I felt me come to life.
YOU are my SPRING.
