No Other More Tolerant

Gold hues with soft laps from giving blue, spread out like fingers
lay a low calm whisper its serenity, whistling peace through leaf and tree

I have lived this, bear the mark-blood to soil
an arrow of rock stands in testament for mid-river fishing
the row gathers as netted vine captures bounty
so slow goes the bronzed one, setting fire upon glass
we breathe deep in silhouette watching the magma shine fall to the past

Blight borne of ignorance from smokestack lightning
carves desperation from new-found traditions

Pave the way for dominance, sliced on through the family tree

She has eyed the sickness of Her personal plague
with occasional whip of worsening weather
cause and effect with rise for self-defense
we the flea, shake, dumbfounded, surprised
our allowance denied

We are hooked by the gills and bleeding
being led to repeat the fossilized path
the continuance, only a longer song of lament
the care no longer shared, the too few make not a difference

Vengeance assured
She may cast the largest rainbow
after the inevitable cleansing
The true testament to Her strength
