Yes, I can also attest to being a victim of this unfortunate bloodsucking behaviour with my family !

However, about 10 or so years ago, I learned how to say no, and cut everyone off.

Nowadays, they just don’t ask. Saying no, is the hardest part but once you do, several times, it gets easier.

If only I could muster the courage.  Truly, all fault lies with me.

I have a couple cousins I helped a few years back, when you are charitable to them they tend to take advantage.

i can totally relate to this piece its funny when they need your cash they come and ask but when it is time to give it back they get like an ghost for its harder to get it back that is why i have no regret from cutting some folks out of my life and world

I haven't been ghosted but now that the ATM has recently been closed I expect it will be coming.
