Fighting your own demons
a fear you couldn’t shake
so you spread it out, thinner

Always littlest, always last
striving to be seen as more
any attention was a win

I don't think I perceived the fear until adulthood either, until I started reaching back to figure out why I am how I am... and realized things had happened that were not my fault. I'm good now. Understanding is most of the battle.

Brava, Titaniun! Another beautiful, vulnerable piece. I am thrilled by your realization, "it was not my fault " too many live in shackles of our own making thinking we are to blame for circumstances beyond our control.
