The Beholder
I put the ink to the page
My tears, my words all exposed
God knows my heart, the way I feel
In my mind, I am holding back the rage.
The rage of yesterday and today
Moments that have long gone by
I have no control
Nobody will listen to my rant or anything I have to say.
My grief, my worries, burdens that sit on my shoulders
I cannot lift them or get rid
I know only of one
He will forgive and he will listen for he is the beholder.
He carries me down each road
He is my direction
He fights all my battles
He takes care of me and all of my life's
load.
When I don't know where to go or where to turn
Jesus, my Lord sees me
He sees everything and gets me on the right path
He knows my heart and what I yearn.
My tears, my words all exposed
God knows my heart, the way I feel
In my mind, I am holding back the rage.
The rage of yesterday and today
Moments that have long gone by
I have no control
Nobody will listen to my rant or anything I have to say.
My grief, my worries, burdens that sit on my shoulders
I cannot lift them or get rid
I know only of one
He will forgive and he will listen for he is the beholder.
He carries me down each road
He is my direction
He fights all my battles
He takes care of me and all of my life's
load.
When I don't know where to go or where to turn
Jesus, my Lord sees me
He sees everything and gets me on the right path
He knows my heart and what I yearn.
