To Trip The Light

( a Catena Rondo )

To trip the light with you, please, may I lead,
For I know all my favorite moves to make.
And certainly the ones you love to hate,
To trip the light with you, please, may I lead.

For I know all my favorite moves to make,
Since years ago weíre learning more each day.
And look at you, itís cheaper not to pay,
For I know all my favorite moves to make!

Since years ago weíre learning more each day,
I think that we could start a mambo school.
The way we dance the students all would drool,
Since years ago weíre learning more each day!

I think that we could start a mambo school,
We ainít no Fred & Ginger, but who cares.
The Latin trend, in love and war is fair,
I think that we could start a mambo school!

We ainít no Fred & Ginger, but who cares,
We didnít learn our moves from tap & dance.
It happened when we met and took a chance,
We ainít no Fred & Ginger, but who cares!

We didnít learn our moves from tap & dance,
To trip the light with you, please, may I lead.
Iíve not a thing to wear, thatís why I plead;
We didnít learn our moves from tap & dance.

To trip the light with you, please, may I lead,
For I know all my favorite moves to make.
And certainly the ones you love to hate,
To trip the light with you, please, may I lead?
