sister
You have suffered many intractable rudiments of life raising us your children.
Six adorable seeds of blessing from God.
Yet you held your head up, opened your heart to us
and embraced each moment collectively spent with a note of triumph.
With unwavering faith, you knew there were better days ahead.
The person we are today is a product of our memories.
We are grateful for your kindness and unconditional love.
Like the halo of the angel
You always stood an inch behind us.
In our moments of terror, you held and caressed away our fears.
‘Sister’, as many affectionately calls you
There is one beauty and then there is you
For your personality is good-looking in everyway.
From all our weird quirks to our occasional indifference
You generously accepted it all.
You looked beyond our damaged self and love us.
Your glorious virtue of compassion has no limit.
In our moments of darkness you light up the candles
Nocturnal creature as we seldom pronounces you in our blather
Little we knew and comprehended
For It was an angelic action just so you could pray for us
Long life, good health, riches and happiness
Our prayer to God for you.
There will never be a set of perfect words to thank you enough.
As I struggle to end this poem
Only three words come to my aid, we love you.
Happy mother’s day GRACE.
