Nowhere is safe!

A child begs for independence.
The mum refuses to allow it.

She is a notoriously stubborn woman at least that's what the divorce papers stated.

She cannot bare to lose control of her precious child, the miracle baby who was conceived as a result of IVF.

From a baby in arms, to nursery and preschool time had been moving too fast. It broke her heart that she could feel them drifting apart.

The daughter wanted to buy sweets that her mother refused to purchase  fearing obesity, teeth cavities and hyperactivity.

Working hard and buying her own  was the youth's only option.  She helped sweep the neighbours yard and completed her own long list of household chores.

The pair were both as stubborn as mules, she had just finished elementary school.

She would be starting middle school soon.

She would  have to walk five blocks and then catch a bus because her mother would be working longer hours at her new job.

The truth is that the mother had a cold so she didn't feel well.
She stole some of her freinds sleeping pills and swallowed it with wine

She reluctantly put on her coat as she hears the phone. It is the old peoples home about her dad. He has fallen over is upset and asked to talk to her and his granddaughter.

She tells her daughter "come to the phone." The stubborn child shouts "no" as she slams her door closed.

She starts blaring pop from her old fashioned radio, the woman spoke for five minutes.

She ended the call and said " I love you daddy goodbye."

There was a noise she thought it was her daughter feeling annoyed.

She wanted to tell her to grow up and stop making a fuss.

She called for her child but did not get a making her feel annoyed.

She screamed when she peeked in the  bedroom to see the adolescent was missing.

Her window was open and a ladder had appeared.

She looked out in the street.
There was a van parked on the side of the road.

She screamed her daughters name and the vehicle sped away.

She ran to the hallway and saw the daughters pocket money.

She was struck by the cruel irony, she wouldn't let her child go to the shops because it was dangerous outside and safe inside.

If she had gone out she would not  have not been abducted.
The point is we are all deluded no one knows what or where safe is because safe does not exist, it never will exist and it never existed. Safety is fictitious.
