Every thought uttered to unheard
treasured down to the last word
in the body of your text
sometimes dead is better if
you welcome what's written next
When it comes to certain people
fearing not being remembered -
perpetually vexed, perplexed
over letting go of past lives
sometimes dead is better when
that day finally arrives
Sometimes dead is better unless
children and wives
don't outlive you

perpetually vexed, perplexed ... this line appeals to me because the first and last both begin "per" and the middle word rhymes with the last.
The repetition of "Sometimes dead is better ..." gives emphasis, and the final three lines are soberly unsettling.
