Whispering memory

Whispering Memory
Ive been slipping and drifting deeper and farther into dreaming of escaping this reality
I been thinking and hoping of sleeping forever
So I can lie in relief from pain and hostility
I've departed into a peaceful place of
slumber
Only to be awakened by a whispering memory
I drifted towards it to see a creature outside my window
Who's shadow grew taller then its soul
It had come from the pastures of across the meadow
It's eyes seem to swallow me whole
It spoke in a wicked whisper
"I was hoping to run into someone I knew,
And I wanted to see someone familiar.
But now that I stumbled upon you.
I'm taken by your sweet surrender"
Lost I wallowed in a dark dimension with this unfavourable situation
Desperately anxious to escape from there and no exit clear
This recent participles unnatural intrusion
Was one I wished would never reappear
I couldn't understand the reason to the demons infection
I Just felt it spread sickness, sadness and fear
Shrouded by shadow lost in a possession
I couldn't comprehend the condition or my fear very clear
Bewildered and broken I asked it a question
I said to it" I thought I heard a voice calming whisper
Come from beneath the world of tranquillity
It awoke me from my peaceful place of slumber
With an image of your old memory
your presence is so abysmally familiar
I beg you please release me from this atrocity"
I tried to formulate courage from any further hesitation
Digging through the confines that bound me there
perhaps i thought it was all just in my imagination
I could probably make this delusion disapear
But I was trapped, tricked, tempted, and tormented in the confusion
And with the lesson in question and reason for treason still unclear
I took a long look in a book and shook this crook of what it took
Only through the grin and grind did i free my mind to find a suitable solution
It whispered in my ear chanting a cheer
"my darling, my dear is it not yet clear
I clawed through the sickness of your dreams
Feeding your fear still keeping you near
Ripping your world apart at the seams
To ravage like a savage all that you hold near and dear
Fear is here my dear to hear your screams"
I awoke sweating to the unsettling conclusion
That struck me with such a fear
Was i wrapped inside some God awful possession?
Did i find myself lost inside a mirror?
Could the apparition in question, just be my reflection?
Did what I fear the most just reappear in the mirror?
