Unsent Letters
His vulnerability
was always
his
strength
even when
the weight
of us
became
too much
he pinned me
underneath
him
post
hours
of gazing
into those
deep blue
eyes
from across
the dance floor
and
I inhaled
his breath
whilst stealing
scented kisses
and
the way
we made
love
is still
etched upon
my heart
and
soul
decades later
as I grieve
the loss
of the
time lapsed
in which
we should’ve
shared
our souls
nurturing
and
nourishing
one
another
forevermore.
