The Perfection of Patience

The alchemist turns lead to gold,
Turns water into sweetest wine.
Transmutes her pain and suffering,
Cedes misery and woe benign.

She sits reposed, her throne of thorns,
The alchemist turns lead to gold.
Drinks poison like ambrosia,
Her mind, a stallion, well-controlled.

As peacocks eat the toxic plant,
And thrive where other birds would die.
The alchemist turns lead to gold,
She renders darkness into light.

As suffering pervades the world,
There's no escaping from this dole.
We must become the masters of,
The alchemist turns lead to gold.
