Arrival

I await her coming home
My sweet lover in the night
She will stay, no more to roam
Her voice pure, gentle and slight

She went out through the evening tide
Drifted slowly out to sea
Her tears she could rarely hide
But, at long last, she was free

I have chosen to remain
And may feel the chill wind blow
I may be a man insane
But find peace with her singing low.
