Afflictions Between Head & Heart

Oh, you selfish little homewrecker.
Fucking around with a married man.

“But he loves me.” She whispers. “I can feel it.”

Bitches like you don’t win.
What competition do you think you’re in?
Men don’t leave their families.
Those women don’t give up their status.
The perfect picture is worth more than freedom.
Worth more than you.

“But He’s different. He’s so different.” She cries.

I bet he tells you that too, doesn’t he? You’re different?
You aren’t any different than any other slut out there,
Spreading your legs for a little affection.
Thinking you’re special. Unique. Not like the rest.
Go ahead, Fill your head with that bullshit.
Let your heart bleed out like some sacrificial offering.
Sit up high on your pretty throne while he licks your pussy
Like a starving dog hungry for any piece of meat.
You’re not a delicacy, you dumb bitch.
You’re an opportunity.

“He buys me thoughtful gifts. I swear he cares.” She protests.

He cares about fucking you. Every way he can.
You won’t take his money because you’re not a whore.
Of course he is going to pay with gifts. He’s bought you.
He owns you. Like a toy that he plays with on his days off.
Then, he goes home and tucks his children into bed.
He crawls into bed next to his wife.
And then while laying there beside the woman with his name,
I bet he texts you “Good night, beautiful.”

“Yes.”

You broken bitches are all the same.
Looking for love in all the wrong places.
Crossing boundaries and in love with the chases.
Thinking someone might actually love you
When they can’t even love themselves.

Get your head out of your ass.
Good enough never is.
