Pirate 1 - Tortuga

quatern

We’ll make Tortuga by tonight
If wind this fair shall carry on
The pirates’ refuge held by might
Against the crown’s own lackeyed pawns

The crew will mutiny unless
We’ll make Tortuga by tonight
Our raid was cursed with no success
Jamaica Sloop ran from our fight

No prey since seen, a long fortnight
With rations slim, we’re heading home
We’ll make Tortuga by tonight
And drink our fill by sand and foam

This style of life is ending soon
All buccaneers now share my plight
On rum, I’ll spend my last doubloon
We’ll make Tortuga by tonight
