Some writers wonder, see the truths, feed on morsels
Find humanitys common ground and underline our own poor lives
From wrechedness and dirt when hunger claws, food is short
That mind so sharp and still alert
To escape and find the space where better thing are common place
Come from where oppresion rules, steel toe cap boots, crush freedoms vowels
And to find the tempered words to find the cream and not the curds
Can we look up from our screens, the pixels say "dont you dare"
To interact, be self aware and edit out our selfie craze
That pilgrimage to an enlightened age, a forward step or retrograde
Philosophy to hold the strengths of what we could be, the pillars of a new society
Send a text to a brainwave, the doric columns whispered tense
Portico of words hold the beams and tiles of truth
A sixth sense for our minds to chew
