“Welcome to the dance of human suffering,”
says Dave the accountant next door to me
to my brother Krishna who has a hard time
balancing his humanity with the work we do-
here’s my secret:
our community of clients is a legacy
handed to us by our CPA father,
and our job is to take care of them
on this intimidating thing that drives people,
intelligent people, up the wall
and into the crazy confines of irrationality,
like its sibling in the realm of
two things you can be sure of.
